Achieving healthy, clear skin can be a teenagers biggest challenge (even bigger than calculus homework or running away from the school bully at times). However, if you follow a simple process and use the right products, you will be on your way to a better, more healthy skin
The first step in achieving clear skin is to wash your skin properly. This does not mean that you need to take a shower three or four times each and every day and scrub your skin until it hurts. This type of cleansing program will actually hurt your chances of having clear skin, as your skin will just react negatively to the over stimulation and agitation. Instead, you should follow a simple program in which you clean your skin two times each day, once in the morning and once at night. This is plenty of washings, and when done with proper face soap will help reduce acne and stop it from spreading.
The next step is to use a good face cream. The best face creams do not have to cost a fortune, either. In fact, almost any good face cream that both re-hydrates and exfoliates will do so much in helping your skin to be soft and smooth. Of course, if you have bad acne then you will also need a face cream that contains some type of acne fighting ingredient such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or acetone, as these are the most common acne ingredients.
Also, if you have severe facial problems, then you should go and consult with a good dermatologist. A trained, experienced professional will be well worth the time and the money, as they will be able to help you develop a treatment specifically for your needs
