Eyelash Enhancement Information You Should Know

You can find several ways to enhance your eyelashes, like using false eyelashes, getting eyelash extensions, using eyelash curlers, or even using mascara.

One of the best options to get eyelash enhancements is definitely eyelash extensions. The one drawback of eyelash extensions is the price; a first time treatment will cost you around $400. The procedure will generally last about 2 hours, and it is performed by a professional. Every two or three weeks, your lashes will need to be filled, and it will run you about $100. Because this procedure can be so expensive, most women will only have it done for very special occasions, like weddings or prom.

The material used for the extensions is synthetic. A single lash is glued to your individual lashes one by one, making your lashes look natural and thicker. Since it is such a chore to keep extensions on the lashes, most women will either have them removed or simply allow them to fall off by themselves. You can either have the lashes removed by a professional or you can do it at home.

The easiest way to remove extensions at home is to hold your face over a bowl of hot water, then gently rub olive oil onto the eyelashes (be careful not to get any in your eyes), and simply take the lashes off.

You could always pick out a great false eyelash to wear instead of choosing extensions. You can buy these at most retail stores and all drug stores. Depending on what quality the lashes are, the cost can range from $5 - $30.

If you don't want to go with extensions or false eyelashes, you can use eyelash curlers or mascara to enhance your eyelashes. You can find mascara and eyelash curlers at any drug store or retail store for a range of different prices, and they are great for making your eyelashes look more dramatic.

Beauty experts agree that you should always curl your lashes before applying mascara. No matter which design of eyelash curler you choose, it will work the best if you start curling the lashes at the base and count to twenty. When you have finished curling your lashes, apply the mascara to make your lashes stand out.

Even though you can use mascara, eyelash curlers, and false eyelashes on a daily basis, the best way to give your eyelashes the best enhancement is opt for eyelash extensions.

Face Makeup is For Everyone

All little girls love experimenting with their mother's makeup, and some little boys are now experimenting with their dad's makeup. Yes, make up has come a long way and is no longer restricted to women and actors.

The ancient Egyptians are who we have to thank for make up as we know it. They used Iron and Copper ore to embellish their faces, and Kohl to define the eyes. Make up has been in constant use since, but thank goodness we have moved on from what they used the middle ages! There have been many deaths over the years directly linked to makeup, particularly around this time. There are records stating that women made their own make up using such ingredients such as Lead, Arsenic and Mercury. They even attached Leeches to themselves to get the ridiculously pale complexions that were considered the height of beauty.

Other strange concoctions used over the years include burnt matches to decorate the years and the urine of a small boy was widely used in an attempt to diminish freckles. Thankfully we now have concealer, foundation and powder to do all these for us, with no risk to our health.

A few years ago, the major make up companies came under ferocious attack for their use of animal for testing. Vivisection was an accepted way of testing new products in the middle of the twentieth century, but is now only used by a few companies. This has spawned a whole new range of cosmetics companies such as the Body Shop and Urban Decay, who use only pure, natural ingredients and trade on the fact that they are anti-vivisection.

For many years, face makeup was considered to be a product purely for women and thespians, but slowly men have got in on the act too. The new romantic movement of the 1980`s actively encouraged men to wear makeup, and many embraced it. The Goths and Emos have worn make up for years to give them their ghostly complexion and black eyes.

Now there is makeup designed specifically for men appearing on the shelves and is proving very popular. Their argument is why should they have to display their blemishes to the world when women spend millions a year hiding theirs? You can say this is pure vanity, but surely that applies to most women too?

At one time, women had a small make up bag which contained their powder, eye shadow, mascara, lipstick and blusher. Now this is more likely to be the size of a back pack and include such items as highlighter, concealer, various types and colors of eyeliner and mascara, numerous lipsticks and lip liners and various other items for special occasions such as glitter sticks.

Whichever side of the fence you stand on, face makeup is here to stay. There is a rule of thumb to follow, and that is less is more. Some ignore this completely obviously, but face makeup should be used to highlight good features and tone down bad, not make you completely unrecognisable.

Get Yourself a New ID - Choose Cosmetics That Enhance Your Eyes

Usually, a pencil eyeliner is better for under the eye and a liquid eyeliner works great for on top of the eye. Although there are some mascaras out there that are fabulous, they are getting more and more expensive. And with there being so many available it's hard to find one to suit you individually without trying a few first and splashing out more money! Recently I have been using fake eyelashes and they really do work. Although they can be quite difficult to get used to, after a period of wearing them you can't feel that they are there. Plus they look amazing and only take minutes to put in!

Except for lush lashes (and enhancements to the eyes with the help of eyeliners), the shade of eye shadow can really make a difference. Sometimes there can be too many things to choose from when it comes to make up, so maybe choosing a simpler range that can still provide everything is better to stick with, as certain shades are just not wearable.

Iron oxides are extremely useful in make up as they come in colour forms, making different tones to get all the different colours that are available to you, these minerals absorb the moisture of the skin, this is how they stay on the skin with kaolin as a clay added to make up products and are resistant to oil.

There are many new make up and cosmetic ranges that contain more or less everything in order to get your eyes looking fabulous. New id contains a double sided eye line pen, (one side being a pencil, the other a liquid) allowing the brush to deliver exactly the right amount of eyeliner to flow through to the brush and apply the right amount to the required area without it being difficult, as we know it is hard to apply eye makeup on ourselves.

The eyebrow fixing pencil has a waxy smooth texture to prevent the brow colour from fading and put unhelpful hairs in place and then the eyebrow grooming pencil is a neutral shade to suit and enhance any shade of the eyebrows natural colour with an added eyebrow brush on the other end. The new id eye shadow compact comes in various shades with 4 shades on each to make it simpler to choose from and the smoky eye pencil makes it easier to choose a shade with one end to achieve a thick sexy line and the other end has a matching cream eye shadow making it a lot easier to apply.

It takes time to hunt around for a perfect mascara or eye shadow that matches the skin tone, an equal challenge is to find that perfect liquid eyeliner that isn't going to run. The best approach is to choose a simple range and experiment.

Women's Day, March 8 - Day Spa Youth and Beauty

Women's day of youth and beauty

A little history...

Even in Ancient Rome a day dedicated to women was celebrated. On this day, women wore most attractive dresses and husbands showered their wives with expensive presents.

On March 8th 1857, women of New York gathered to hold their first protest for improved work conditions and raised wages. March 8th 1908, another historical moment for women took place in New York, fifteen thousand women protested shorter hours, better pay and voting rights. Finally as of March 8th 1975, the United Nations declared this day an International Women's Day.

What is it that we women were so desperately trying to obtain? We wanted to be equal to men: to work, be entrepreneurs, deal with financial problems, etc. We have achieved all that we sought after. Are we happy now?

Alas, women can never be completely satisfied. We are too smart for our own good. Today we lack the most important element of life - TIME! We are so busy with that which we sought so hard to achieve. Today we must deal with our work and financial status, but no one took away our inherited responsibility for our family and children... On top of all this we must be slim, young and beautiful. Is it possible to achieve the balance between work and beauty? How can a young mother who goes to college and works full time do to achieve this balance? How about a mature woman who is an entrepreneur, mother and wife?

Do not worry my dear ladies. We have always found solutions from the most complicated situations. Remember, where do we go to take care of ourselves? Of course we go to a beauty salon. But besides that in this fast paced world we are offered a whole industry which carries the name - SPA. If you have found this oasis, where innovative modern technology along with centuries old techniques are used by knowledgeable professionals, then you can rest assured that the problem has been eliminated.

In our arsenal we utilize machinery, promoting regeneration of young skin cells (Oxygen Jet Peel, Mezotherapy), improving facial skin tone (Diamond Microdermabrasian), eliminate wrinkles (Ultrasound, Photon LED Skin Therapy), skin tightening (Iontophoresis, Microcurrent, Vacuum Massage), figure correction struggling from cellulite (Pressotherapy, Vibration massage, Endermologie, Myostimulation) and much more. Add to all this; a wide variety of massages, aromatic scrubs, peels, wraps, special programs to care for your hands and feet. Only in a spa you can rest assured, that you will lose weight, get back your sexy form and look your best in the shortest possible time frame.

Let's honor this day not as a day for fighting, but a day to praise our youth and beauty.

How to Make Yourself Look Better

Looking nice is essential to leading a healthy life. Some people may believe that is a pretentious and hideous thing to say but in reality everyone has the potential to be beautiful. There are many who believe that they have to use mineral make up and mineral foundation in order to look nice to everyone else. However, this is not the case and there are plenty of other, more natural ways that can make you look and feel more beautiful. By taking these tips to heart, you will feel better as a whole and look a whole lot better too.

One thing that is easy to do to make yourself look better is wash your face every night. This is especially important if you wear stuff on your face during the day. For one, it cleans out the pores in your face and makes your skin look fresher and cleaner. Also, you will not get as many blemishes if you wash your face constantly. It takes getting used to and you have to repeat washing your face every night before it becomes a habit but eventually you will wash your face and think nothing of it. Make it a nightly ritual that you do at a certain time and that will make it easier.

Along with washing your face, is eating a good, balanced meal. You should definitely watch your diet if you are trying to look nice and fit into that smaller size. The first step to a successful diet is eating from all groups on the food pyramid. Vegetables and fruits are probably the most important, followed by meat, grains, and dairy. Eating smaller portion sizes also help. Eventually, your stomach will feel full earlier and you will not have to eat as much as you did. This will make you lose weight and you will look better. Eating healthy will also make you feel better in general because your digestive system will be in sync with the rest of your body.

However, eating right is not the only way to get a good body and look nice. Exercising is the base of a good lifestyle and looking better. Look into gym memberships around the area or find people who like to run in your neighborhood. Exercising with friends makes it easier to do and makes it a lot more fun. The more your exercise, the better you will look and feel. People who exercise a lot are generally healthier and do not get hurt as often because their muscles are toned and can take the strain of every day life. Also, working out is a great way to meet people with similar interests. You could gain a new best friend simply by going to the gym two or three times a week.

In the end, there are many ways to be beautiful that do not involve covering yourself up. Being naturally pretty is the best way to be anyway. These simple steps can help you gain more confidence, get noticed by the opposite sex, and generally lead a more fulfilling life.

No Moody Hair

Why do we have bad hair days?

Does your hair ACTUALLY have moods?

Does your hair have PMS?

Does your hair have multiple personality disorder?

WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?

Usually bad hair days can be attributed to weather. If you have curly or even wavy hair the humidity in the air can turn your head into a frizzy mess. Try using an oil based styling product under your regular products. This forms a barrier that blocks the moisture out of the hair shaft. I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum on just about everyone. It is lightweight even for fine hair to keep your hair from going limp from moisture in the atmosphere.

Static in the air can affect your hair as well. One of my favorite quick tips I give to clients in keep a dryer sheet in your purse. Not only will it make your purse smell good but when your hair starts standing up on end...just rub the dryer sheet over your hair to eliminate the flyaway and static!

Often it's really us having a bad day working with our hair. If your hair isn't doing what you want that day...do not hairspray the heck out of it to make it stay. You'll just wind up a gooey mess.

Opt instead for back-up hair do's other than the traditional pony tail bun or clippies. Try scarves, headbands, waving irons, a cute braid or variations on your usual hairstyle to compensate for your hairs "moods."

Classic case of "if you can't beat them, join them..."Trying to whip your hair into shape to do the same thing every day can lead to sad depressed hair do's anyway. Maybe your bad hair day is really a rebellion, an uprising of the follicles to overcome the everyday routine of boredom.

Think of your bad hair day as an opportunity for change!

Break Your Bad Beauty Habits

They may seem harmless, but your bad beauty habits aren’t so beautiful. In fact, they can even be dangerous to your health. Here’s how to stop them in their tracks:
Stop biting your nails
It may seem like an innocent way to unleash your stress, but when you chew on your nails, you run the risk of ingesting the nasty bacteria that linger underneath. (Not to mention the cracked, split nails and painful hangnails you’ll pick up along the way.) Kick the habit by treating yourself to a manicure. If your nails are pristine and polished, you’ll have a harder time taking out your stress on them. Not the polish type of girl? Tuck a travel-size nail file in your purse for on-the-go weak moments. Don’t leave home without sunscreen
Sunscreen and summertime always go hand in hand but the winter months pose similar sun threats. Any sun exposure without adequate protection is a direct cause of premature aging, including increased wrinkles and age spots. Extensive sun damage also increases your chances of developing various skin cancers. To break this unhealthy pattern, make sunscreen a part of your morning routine by using a daily facial moisturizer with an SPF already built in (I like Dove’s Deep Moisture Day Lotion with SPF 15).
Don’t pick at pimples
It may be the most satisfying part of your beauty routine, but popping and prodding your pimples will do you no good. Indulging in this nasty habit can leave you with permanent scars, infection, and in a lot of cases, squeezing a pimple will actually push the bacteria and oil even deeper into the glands. Break the habit by using this DIY spot treatment: crush an ibuprofen and create a thick paste with some water. Apply directly to the pimple, let dry, then wash off for reduced swelling and redness.
Not taking your eye makeup off before bed
You just got home from a night out and the first (and only) thing you want to do is head to bed. But leaving your eye makeup on overnight can cause major eye irritation and inflammation while blocking your skin’s natural ability to repair itself. Other awful side effects include clogged glands, dry skin and eyelashes more prone to falling out. If time is your biggest issue, skip the cleanser and invest in some moist makeup remover wipes, which will take off the day’s grime in seconds.
Touching your face constantly
Touching our face is a beauty crime we’re all guilty of doing. The trouble is that you transfer excess oil and dirt from your fingers to your pores, which can cause breakouts and even worse, infection. This habit is especially hazardous during the cold and flu season, when bacteria and viruses are widespread and likely to be on your hands. It may be tricky to break the pattern, so carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer in your purse to disinfect your hands before you primp.

The Top 5 Beauty Products You Need in Your Handbag

Beauty emergencies can happen anywhere. Whether you’re toting the latest Louis Vuitton messenger bag or a basic satchel from H&M, these handbag essentials are every girl’s go-to for beauty gone bad.
Tweezers
Got an errant eyebrow hair? Splinter? Hangnail? Let your tweezers do triple-duty. For a beauty tool that takes up very little room in your purse, these come in handy in many beauty emergencies.
Nail file
Trying to ignore a nail in need of filing is like trying to ignore an arrogant drunk guy at a bar—it doesn’t go away, no matter how much you try to pretend it’s not there. Instead of standing idly by while your nail snags on everything from your clothes to your cocktail napkin, make sure you have a nail file in your handbag—just keep it in a protective case to avoid spreading germs in your purse.
Bandages
Every girl has a love-hate relationship with her favourite high heels: they give you killer legs and a confidence boost, but painful blisters are often part of the deal, too. For a night on the town, practice preventative beauty by applying bandages to blister-prone areas and slipping extras in your clutch for re-application (and for friends). For every day, keep a steady supply in your purse for everything from paper cuts to hangnails.
Oil-absorbing sheets
A long day at the office can mean more than fatigue. Oil build-up over the course of the day is never pretty, especially if you’ve got after-work plans. Keep some oil-absorbing sheets on hand to blot away excess shine, or to prep before re-applying makeup. They’re also an absolute necessity if you have bangs.
Lip balm
Cracked, parched or dry lips need constant lip balm protection, especially in the dry winter months. Keep your pout pretty and lips kiss-ready with a refreshing peppermint balm that soothes and heals while smelling fresh.

Date Night Hair Ideas

Romance is in the hair this Valentine's Day with these 3 soft looks

It may be award season in Hollywood, but you don't need a red carpet to show off celebrity-worthy hair (just a handsome date). Whether you prefer to wear your hair down or swept up, you’ll feel confident and sexy with soft, wavy styles that look effortlessly chic. Here’s how to glam-up your date night look with three Valentine’s Day hair ideas:

Side-Swept Away

Embrace Old Hollywood glamour with side-swept locks. This look is perfect for anyone with long, layered hair. So ditch that flat iron—these are waves that he'll be begging to run his fingers through.

How to: Apply a volumizing mouse to damp hair, and then blow dry. Use a comb to create an exaggerated part (left or right, you pick). Gather your hair to the side it’s parted on. Working in sections, wrap strands of hair around a wide-barrel curling iron, and hold a few seconds to set. Once all sections are curled, lightly mist with hairspray and then gently comb through the curls with your fingers to separate them.

Tie the Knot

A ponytail may pass for work, but nights out with the beau deserve a little more oomph. This red carpet-inspired updo will show off your neck and shoulders—sexy!

How to: This style works best on second-day—not freshly-washed—hair. Create a top and bottom section by separating the hair horizontally from ear to ear. Use a comb to grab sections of the top layer (starting at the hair line and working back). Spritz each piece with hairspray, and then gently tease with a comb. Gather the top layer at the center back of your head and secure in place with a covered elastic band, wrapping the ends around and securing with bobby pins. Take the bottom section of hair and wrap around the elastic to create a bun, again, securing it with bobby pins. Finish with hairspray.

Exotic Curls

Lucky for those with curly tresses, stars like Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts have brought natural-looking curls back to the red carpet. Perfect for a night on the town, this bohemian ‘do looks elegant (but is dead easy).

How to: Apply a volume-building mouse to damp hair. (To separate the curls, divide hair into sections and work the product through.) Turn your head upside down and blow-dry with a diffuser. Use a comb to make a part straight down the middle. Finish with a light mist of hairspray to hold the curls.

Make Your Hair Shine!

Shiny hair is synonymous with health, youth and vitality. (And did we mention it’s incredibly sexy, too?) If you’re friendly with your hairdryer, flat iron or colourist, you may think shiny hair is out of your reach. But follow these tips and you’ll be on your way to luscious, glossy locks, fast!

The Products You Need

Know your hair type: For fine hair, use spray volumizers with shine – you don’t want to weigh down your delicate hair. Gel or cream products work well on normal hair. If your hair is thick or coarse, try a pomade.
Remove build-up: If you have very oily hair, use a clarifying shampoo once or twice a week. This is also a good idea if you use more than one product on your hair daily, as product build-up can dull shine. Make your own clarifying shampoo by adding a tablespoon of baking powder to your everyday shampoo.
Add moisture: Leave your conditioner in for at least 30 seconds, even if it is an “instant” conditioner. Use a hair masque or deep conditioning treatment once a week (twice a week if your hair is coloured or permed).
Go easy on the styling products: Using too many styling products can coat your hair and make it look dull. If you can get away with it, try to use just one. Experiment and see if you really need a volumizing spray, styling mousse, hair-straightening gloss and hairspray!
Washing Your Hair

How often to wash your hair: How frequently you need to shampoo depends on your hair type and habits. Very fine hair may need a wash every day, especially if you use more than one styling product, as build-up can reduce shine. However, some hair types benefit from letting the natural oils build up (and also giving strands a break from the blow dryer and flat iron). Experiment to see what suits your hair best.
Be gentle: When you towel-dry your hair, blot it like you’re handling an expensive antique—don’t scrub like you’re towelling off your dog. The key to shiny hair is a smooth cuticle, so don’t rough up your tresses.
Sleep well: Investing in satin pillowcases will decrease the friction of your hair against your pillow and reduce frizz.
Cool down: After blow-drying, switch your hairdryer to the “cool” setting and give your hair a blast of cold air—this seals the cuticle for a smoother, shinier finish.
Check your water: If you have hard water, it can leave your hair rough. Consider purchasing a water softener for your home, or even a filter that fits on top of your shower nozzle.
Brush carefully: Use a natural boar bristle brush for super shine. Boar bristle brushes will smooth your cuticles and evenly distribute your hair’s natural oils.
Heat Styling

Protect your hair: Invest in products with built-in heat protection to help counteract any appliances you use on your hair. Just be careful of product overload.
Go natural: If you’re spending a quiet Saturday at home, let your hair dry naturally. The more you damage your hair with heat, the less it will shine.
Colouring Your Hair

Go dark: Dark hair reflects light much better than lighter shades. But if you combine your blonde hair with dark and light strands (think low lights as well as highlights), you can have as much shine as your brunette sisters.

Home Remedies for Shiny Hair

Homemade hair rinse: If you’re blonde, add one or two tablespoons of lemon juice to your final rinse. Apple cider vinegar works for brown or red hair.
Homemade hair masque: Mash up a cup of whole strawberries with a spoonful of mayonnaise. Spread this on your hair while it is damp (not soaking wet), and then cover your hair with a shower cap and a warm towel. After a few minutes, gently wash the mixture out.
Watch your diet: A good diet is important for shiny hair. Make sure you get enough protein, and also eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, almonds and avocados.

Red Lipstick Guide

Red lipstick it's the one cosmetic item that many fear, while others embrace. However, this still doesn't stop a good portion of you ladies out there from picking the wrong shade. But whatever your skin tone may be, there is still the perfect shade of red lipstick awaiting you.

The number one rule in finding the right red shade is simply just to try it on. The hand test doesn't work when it comes to red, so pucker up and slap some color on those lips. Always get a second opinion to ensure that you really are choosing the right shade of red. The cosmetics girl at the counter always makes a good friend.

The second way to find that right red lipstick is to find out if you have warm, cool or neutral skin tone. There is a pretty simple test to help determine this. Grab a piece of white paper and hold it against your wrist in natural light.

If your wrist gives of an orange undertone, then you are a warm. Neutral skin tones tend to look olive, yellow or peach while blue and pink undertones means you are a cool.

If you have cool skin tone, try to lean towards pink and plum shades of red as well as darker reds like blackberry.

If you have a warm skin tone, orangey-reds are the way to go with gold tinted undertones. You could also try a nice bright tomato red; it might seem scary but once it is on, you will feel fierce and can rock the perfect red lipstick like no one's business!

There is one more extra little tidbit before I send you one your merry lipped way. Red lipsticks with blue undertones make your teeth look extra white for a picture perfect smile!

Any Work is Not Good Enough For Home Positions

If you look around on the internet today, you will see that there are many home positions available. Perhaps you lost your job or you just want to supplement your income. Just do not make yourself desperate enough to find any work on the internet. You will fall to schemes and scams.

Why is any work not good enough? Simple reasons really. Say you see a home position ad for Data Entry. You may think to yourself. That sounds really easy and they promise a lot of money. Of course it does, most home positions do because they want you to buy into their opportunity. So they will make it sound as easy and effortless as possible.

You want to be selective when you are looking for a home position. Just do not do any work that is available. That will most definitely get you caught up in scams to where you lose money, self-confidence and your shirt all in internet schemes that were not designed to work for you, but for the seller.

So what home positions can you do? There are still many legitimate opportunities out there in which you CAN make a lot of money from. But I would say the first key is knowing which one is a scam and which one is not.

You want to pay attention to the fine print. You can find any work anywhere on the internet, but not all will show you how you can be successful in that home position. You do not want to get involved with work from home products, but you need the tools instead.
Tools that help you make life easier, expand your knowledge and even help automate your business.

What are tools? Tools can be anything that help you automate your actions. Or maybe it's great information from a mentor. Tool are very important and is the real fast track to internet wealth. I got scammed many times before I ran into someone that would show me the proper tools to use. If you are able to get that far, you will be successful.

Knowledge is powerful! Read the resource box below and follow the instructions.

A Cross Dresser's Guide to Perfect Eyeliner

Once you've applied your eye shadow, you're ready to shape and define your eyes using eyeliner.

Although this is an important skill to learn, it's actually quite tricky to master. Be warned - your patience will be tested!

Having said that, once you've figured it out you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. It's one of those things you never forget (like riding a bike).

Eyeliner is available as a pencil, cake (which is applied using a brush) or as a liquid liner. Pencil and cake eyeliners give a soft and natural look, whereas liquid liners offer more precision and a dramatic look. You may find one easier to work with than the others, but playing around with the options is half the fun - so don't hold back!

Choose a color the complements your eye color, as well as your eye shadow. For light colored eyes I would suggest brown, navy and charcoal shades. Brown with plum shades tend to work better with brown eyes.

When you're ready to apply eyeliner, make sure you position yourself in front of a good mirror, with plenty of light. I would recommend that you have a cotton swab and tissues by your side, so that you can quickly rectify any mishaps. If you're using a pencil eyeliner, make sure that it has been sharpened to ensure maximum precision.

Tilt your head back a little and close the eye that you're working on, half way. You can keep the other eye open fully, so that you can see what you're doing.

Draw a line across your upper eyelid, as close to the lashes as possible. The line should start at the innermost corner of the eye and extend slightly beyond the outer edge. If you're using a liquid liner, remember to allow it to dry a little before opening the eye fully, otherwise you may end up with a nasty mess!

Making the line slightly thicker towards the outer edge of the eye adds lift. Also, if you've used a pencil or brush, you can soften the line by smudging it with a cotton swab or your finger.

You can use the same technique to line the lower lid, but be careful not to overdo it. Liquid liner should only really be applied to the upper lid, so switch to a pencil if need be.

Don't forget, there's nothing wrong with applying eyeliner only to the upper lid.

Being able to apply eyeliner perfectly is a difficult skill to master, even for a genetic woman. The important thing is not to give up!

The three day diet lasts exactly for this period of time as the name suggests. Despite the common misconception it is not a magical metabolic formula that makes you lose weight. It is simply a low calorie intake that provides for the stored fats in your body to be transformed into fuel for your cells and burnt effectively. This is the simplest yet the most effective solution to your overweight problem. Often you cannot simply modify your lifestyle to include more exercise in it. Plus, working out has been found to be less efficient for slimming down than the low calorie intake. Thus, by adopting this simple diet, you can effectively reduce the negative influence of all your lifestyle aspects on your body and weight.

In order to make the most out of the nutritional plan you adopt, you have to set your target goals. It is worth being both realistic about and also having a positive attitude towards your expectations. Indeed, you can lose 10 pounds of weight with the three day diet, but you also have to keep the accomplished results. Furthermore, you might have to repeat the cycle a number of times. One thing that can certainly motivate you is picturing yourself after the slimming down. You will have a great looking body and fit into elegant outfits plus the common problems such as shortness of breath, bloating and all the discomfort will be gone. All this is possible as long as you stick to the dietary plan firmly.

There are a number of aspects of the three day diet that you have to take into serious consideration before starting it. As mentioned beforehand you have to keep the plan strictly - that is to eat exactly the portions of the specific foods at the specified meals. Also, you should not prolong the dieting for more than three days. Instead you should keep the recommended four to five day break during which you can eat a variety of foods. It is a good idea not to have a way too large calorie intake throughout this sort of rest period so that the yo-yo effect is avoided. You can repeat the entire cycle of the diet as many times you feel necessary to reach your target goal weight.

The three day diet has been tested and proven to work. The plan is easy to stick to and normally will not cause any severe hunger pangs or cravings. In fact, most of the foods included in it are both nutritional and delicious. So, nothing stops you from getting the right foods necessary for the diet, starting today and witnessing the results in three days.

How to Apply Eye Makeup Like a Beauty Pro

People say that eyes don't lie. They are after all known as the window to your soul and it is only but natural that you know how to apply eye makeup. A major part of your makeup should actually focus on the region around your eyes. It is only when you give this region the importance that it deserves that you will achieve good results with your overall makeup.

The first thing that you need to do is to get a good concealer to hide all those dark puffy circles under your eyes. It is always preferable that you use a professional brush to pad the concealer. There are some simple natural remedies too that you can try before you apply the concealer. You can for example use either potato peel or cucumber and place it on your eyes. This will relax your eyes and make the skin around it smooth which will help you later on when you actually apply makeup to the eyes.

One of the secrets to apply eye makeup like a pro is to use a good eye base. Remember, it is only when you have applied the eye base properly that the eye makeup is going to stay longer. Make sure though that you choose the right hue when it comes to your eye base. This is important because the color should match that of your skin. This applies to the color of the eye liner too. Once you are through with applying the eye liner, you can then finally apply the mascara. It should be such that it compliments your skin tone. You should also take into consideration the color of your eyes when you apply eye makeup. Once you take care of all these aspects you too can end up looking and feeling like the supermodels whose looks you always idolized.

Professionally Applied Hair Extensions Can Help You Feel Beautiful Every Day

If you've thought that hair extensions are only for celebrities or for people going to formal occasions, think again. The beautifying effects of professionally applied extensions have revolutionized hair styles across the nation. More and more people are turning to expert salons to assist them in selection and application of real hair extensions for everyday wear.

The plastic-looking synthetic strands of yesterday may still be used in cheap clip-on products and at some discount hair parlors, but today's cutting edge stylists utilize the latest damage-free techniques to apply small sections of real hair that is perfectly matched to your natural hair's color and wave pattern. This results in an amazing transformation. Hair becomes thicker, longer, and more glamorous, yet it still looks completely natural!

The best extensions are made of human remy hair. This means that the cuticle is preserved and the strands are all oriented the same direction from cuticle to tip. Remy hair gives the most natural look, is easier to care for and can be styled similarly to your natural hair. Depending on the type you choose, you'll have many different options for everyday and special occasion wear. You can easily go from a casual ponytail to an elegant updo, or leave your hair straight or curly and flowing down your back.

As thicker, healthier hair styles increase in popularity, more and more salons are offering this service. Unfortunately, many of these stylists do not have the requisite experience and training to apply extensions correctly. Lower priced salons may use outdated techniques that cause a great deal of damage to your hair, or synthetic strands that look unnatural and quickly become ragged. The same thing goes with do-it-yourself applications - you'll likely end up with damage to your own hair that could be expensive to repair.

Professional and reputable salons have the knowledge and expertise necessary to add volume or length or whatever you are seeking, without damage to your natural hair. Months later, when it's time to take them out, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find you are simply in need of a basic split-end trimming. Furthermore, an expert application can last 3-6 months, depending on how quickly your hair grows and how well you take care of it.

People desire extensions for a variety of reasons. Some have fine or thin hair that they wish to look thicker, while others who want long hair don't want to wait for their own hair to grow. Some have straight hair and want curls. Extra hair can even be applied to very short or sparse hair, making them an excellent choice for just about anyone who wants fuller, thicker, or longer hair than what grows naturally on their heads.

Just because you're not a celebrity doesn't mean you can't have hair like one. Your expert stylist will be able to advise you on the ideal extensions for the styles you want to achieve, and will be sure to show you the best ways to care for your beautiful new style to keep it long-lasting and gorgeous every day

How to Determine Your Body Shape

Everyone has a certain body shape. Determining your body shape is not that hard. If you want to wear clothes that flatter you and make you look your best, you should first determine your body shape. If you understand what your current shape and proportions are and know a few style guidelines for your shape you are well on your way to looking your best. Women can compare their body shapes to pieces of fruit. Most women will either be pear or spoon shape, apple shape, hourglass or ruler shape.

Look in the mirror and decide what shape you think you are. You can take measurements to give you more accurate results. If you are more bigger on the hips and the bottom half compared to the rest of your body, then you are a pear or spoon shaped. If your waist measurements are bigger than your bust and hip measurements, then you are apple shaped. To be a ruler shaped there will be very little differences in your hip, waist and bust measurements. Hourglass-shaped people have chest and hip measurements that are very close to one another, but have a small waist. To be classified as a true hourglass, your waist needs to be at least 6 inches between your waist and chest and your waist and hips.

If you are having problems determining your body type, it is probably because you are carrying extra weight. You are only temporarily caught between types because of your weight. Deep down you are a pure hourglass, pear or spoon, ruler or apple shape.

3 Tummy Trimming Exercises to Flatten Your Tummy Fast

If you want to flatten your abs I have a few tummy trimming exercises that I recommend you do regularly to help you firm and strengthen your stomach. You can do this at home or at the gym, whenever you like.

Before I write instructions on how to do these stomach reducing exercises, you should always remember that the real way to get long lasting results is to keep your entire body in shape and follow a sensible eating plan. That being said, focused exercises also have a role to play so do these as part of your routine. Here are 3 exercises that you can do:

1. Stomach vacuums - This is a great little exercise which requires no equipment and can be done practically anywhere. To do this you need to stand or sit straight, take a deep breath, exhale all the air out of your lungs, suck in your belly hard as if you were trying to connect your abs with your back, thrust your chest out, and hold.

After 20 seconds or more, release and breathe normally before you do this again several times. This is a static, yet powerful exercise and I believe it is a valuable addition to any workout routine.

2. Hip raises - This is another tummy trimming exercise targeting the lower abdominal muscles. You lie on the floor or a mat and place both hands on the floor close to your body. Raise both legs up into the air straight and hold. Now, push your legs straight upward from your buttocks using your abs to do the lifting. You don't need to do large movements as even small ones will do. Make sure to not let your legs go down at the end of each movement but keep them as straight as possible.

3. Circular crunch - Place your legs on a stability ball and make sure your knees are bent and at a 90 degree angle to you. Place both hands behind your head as you would for a regular crunch. Raise your body toward one knee in a diagonal motion. When you reach the highest point of your rise, twist your torse to the other side in a circular motion toward the other knee and only then lower your torse to the starting position.

In the next rep switch knees. This exercise targets the central abdominal muscles and the obliques. All 3 of these stomach exercises can be done at home with minimal equipment. Make sure to include them in your routine.

Interval Training to Double Your Fat Loss

There is a trick that will allow you to do half the cardiovascular exercise, but get double the results, this technique is interval training.

This method is a very powerful tool in your fat-burning arsenal. This method not only improves your cardiovascular health and circulation, but it also burns more fat than any other method. You can get the same or more benefit in a ten minute interval training session than you can when doing a thirty minute but less intense session.

How do we perform the interval training sessions?

It is done just as it sounds, in intervals. Let's use the treadmill as an example. You should start with a light warm up for five minutes, then do the following:

1. Run or walk quickly for thirty seconds.
2. Slow down your treadmill to a slow walk for a full minute.
3. Repeat this process until you reach your goal for the session

This is an intense workout, so start slowly and build your way up. You will get results very quickly with consistent use of this exercise technique. You can use the treadmill, the outdoors, and even a bicycle to do interval training. If you have access to good weather, you can even use this technique with hiking or rock climbing. If you use your imagination, you will find that there are endless ways to use interval training, which will keep your fat-burning at a maximum.

Skin Care Secrets - How to Shrink Your Pores

Do you have big pores? Many women (and sometimes men, too) will spend hours in front of their magnifying mirror fretting over them, and will often waste their money on the latest purported pore-reducing gizmo at the drug store. What are these tiny holes that can drive you nuts? Pores are tiny openings in your skin that allow the sweat glands and oil glands access to your skin's surface. At the bottom of the pore sits the oil gland. Then a microscopic "tunnel" rises to the surface of your skin. The opening of that "tunnel" is the visible part of the pore. Why can they look so big? Oil, sweat, dirt, makeup, dead skin, all can accumulate inside that tiny opening and essentially stretch it into a bigger opening.

How do you shrink them? Here are four suggestions:

1. Cleanse and Exfoliate - You need to keep your pores clean in order to keep them small. More specifically, you need to keep your pores "cleaned out". If you pores are getting bigger, then you are not effectively cleaning out the oil, sweat, dirt, makeup, and dead skin. Get this debris out of the "tunnel" and it will shrink back down to its normal size. In order to do this, you should use an effective cleanser and wash your face twice daily. Soap is too harsh. It will dry and irritate your skin. Use a gentle cleanser specifically designed for facial skin.

But using a cleanser alone generally isn't enough. You also need to regularly exfoliate your skin. Think of exfoliation as the second cleansing step, and the step that provides your pores with a deeper more penetrating cleaning. My preferred exfoliaters are the alpha and beta-hydroxy acids including salicylic, lactic, and glycolic acid. Acids are so-called because they dissolve things. Skin acids are safe to put on your skin, but they are very effective at "dissolving" the "stuff" in your pores that you don't want. Follow your cleansing step with a mild salicylic acid wash once a day. Or use a low concentration glycolic acid gel a few nights each week. These will give your pores the deep clean they currently aren't getting.

2. Home Devices? - There are a lot of devices for sale in department stores that purport to help shrink your pores. I believe most of them are a waste of your money. Follow the cleansing and exfoliating recommendations above and your pores will improve more effectively than they would by using most of these devices. The single exception is the Clarisonic Brush. Its sonic technology literally shakes some of the hard to get debris out of your pores, and many of my clients have found it very effective. Its available at many department stores or through various online merchandisers. And while not technically a "device", Biore Strips are also a useful and inexpensive method to help keep the pores clean in the nose area (where they are always the largest anyway).

3. Visit an Esthetician - I recommend that you visit an esthetician on a regular basis. An aestheticism will help you maintain your skin's health. Regular facials will help keep your pores clean, healthy, and smaller. Aestheticians can also perform more aggressive pore-reducing exfoliating treatments than you can perform yourself at home - including microdermabrasion and mild chemical peels. These will help maintain good pore health.

4. Get a Laser Treatment - Lasers are the most aggressive and the fastest method for reducing pore size. Laser treatments are performed at doctor's offices specializing in aesthetic medicine. Different lasers have different effects on the pores. Some offer aggressive exfoliation and cleansing, while others use their heat to actually shrink the wall of the pore. Fractionated CO2 lasers such as the Active FX laser treatment offer the greatest pore-reducing effect. Erbium and Yag lasers can also help. Your aesthetic medical doctor can help guide you towards the most effective laser treatment according to your own unique concerns

How to Fight Dark Under Eye Circles Safely and Effectively

If you want to get rid of dark under eye circles and other signs of eye problems, you need powerful ingredients that are both safe and effective. You want to make sure that you choose products which address all of the different eye problems since you don't really want to put more than one cream or lotion on this area if you can help it.

Dark under eye circles, swelling and puffiness are the main issues that many women and men hope to minimize with the choice of the right eye cream. There are a few key ingredients that can work effectively to get rid of these problems while not causing any eye irritation or damage. It is important to choose natural ingredients because these have proven to be safe and effective over years of testing and trials.

A few of the best ingredients are found in only a select few of the superior eye creams. Knowing which ingredients are the most effective can help you find those products which have been proven effective but which are not as well known. Many of these are superior to highly promoted brands but are actually lower in price despite the higher concentrations of active ingredients. Most of the cost of a highly promoted product goes to pay for advertising.

One of the best all around ingredients that can fight dark under eye circles is Haloxyl. It has an incredible ability to lessen the appearance of dark under eye circles. Although it is incredibly powerful, it can be made even more effective when coupled with Eyeliss, an ingredient that is known for reducing puffiness, bags and wrinkles around the eyes. The wonderful thing about these two ingredients is that they are both naturally sourced and will not irritate the delicate skin around your eyes.

One of the main reasons why eyes look aged is because of a breakdown in the structure of the skin which surrounds them. It is essential to make sure that you are also toning and moisturizing the skin as well. If you look for natural moisturizers such as babassu oil and skin firming ingredients such as CynergyTK you will be amazed at how much more youthful and smooth your skin looks.

3 Things to Check Before Buying Facial Lotion Products

Are you just plain fed up? Do you keep on buying one new skin cream after the other and still fail to find one that really works? That's the problem with facial lotion products today - too many choices and too little good ones amongst them.

Here are three simple checks that will help you find the best facial lotion products out there -

1 - Check if the lotion has any chemicals inside
This is the number one reason why people are still stuck with a tired, damaged skin even after using the big brand name products. Most of these creams and lotions are loaded with harsh chemical ingredients.

These companies liberally use chemicals such as Mineral Oil, Fragrances and Parabens in their products to make them more attractive, last longer and also save money in manufacturing them.

Fact is - exposure to these chemicals over the long term can cause skin dryness, allergies, irritation, and even cancer.

So make sure to stay far away from any skin care products containing chemical ingredients.

2 - Check if it has effective natural ingredients
Just being natural is not enough. The ingredients in your lotion should be effective too.

Look for ingredients like Phytessence Wakame. This sea kelp from Japan is very beneficial for the skin. It nourishes the skin with vitamin B complex and minerals like iron, potassium and calcium. It also prevents the breakdown of hyraluronic acid in the skin which is responsible for keeping the skin firm and binds the Collagen fibers in it tightly.

Active Manuka Honey is another such ingredient. This unique honey stimulates the Collagen and Elastin production in the body and helps in keeping the skin firm and wrinkle free naturally. It also has special anti oxidant and anti bacterial properties that keep the skin healthy and damage free.

Natural plant based oils like Avocado and Macadamia are very effective at moisturizing the skin deeply and keeping it soft and supple. These oils maintain the moisture level in the skin without making it too oily or dry.

3 - Look for satisfied customers
If the merchant's website has testimonials from satisfied customers who have used their products and liked them, then this is the best indication of an effective, quality product. You can then safely use their facial lotion products with peace of mind.

So there you have it. Three simple checks to find the best facial lotion products for a fresh young skin. Visit my website to know about one such effective line of skin care products.

Revisiting the School Lunch Box - How to Pack a More Healthful Meal

In our fast paced society, the hand-packed school lunches complete with an apple and a note from Mom or Dad is largely becoming a thing of the past. It is being replaced with fast fixes such an overly processed snack set with low nutritional value. There are some quick fixes for parents who want their children to have balanced meals at school so that their kids have the energy to maximize learning from the moment they get off the bus in their uniform polo shirt to the time they walk in the door that afternoon.

One way that many parents are maximizing healthy school lunches is by cooking enough dinner the night before so that it can be taken the next day for lunch. For a family of four, it's easy to throw another chicken breast for everyone on the grill and then pair it with slices of low GI bread, vegetables and mustard the next day for chicken sandwich. The leftovers might be so delicious that parents will have to add a bib apron into the lunch box in case of emergencies.

Another way parents can encourage better school lunches when the lunch box from home is not an option it to speak to the cafeteria staff. These men and women are identifiable by work clothes, often resembling a housekeeper uniform, and are often willing to make dietary adjustments. Nutritional-related issues are also often the subjects of parent-teacher organizations.

Some grocery store chains are even offering pre-packed lunches made daily that are both healthy and delicious and offer children a wide variety of lunch choices from sushi to tuna wraps. Although this can be a more expensive option, there are still many low cost options available. Parents can plan school meals just as they would weekly meals, incorporating vegetables and fruit, lean meat, cheese and yogurt and whole grains as a staple. Try and avoid high sugar and sodium items such as potato chips, cakes, candy, jams and fatty meats. Preparation is also a good time to review with children the importance of portion control. Make lunch making time a fun time. Parents can turn on some music and join in the fun. Many older children can also assist younger children with preparation. And what should children wash down the lunches with? Many juice drinks advertised as healthful options have almost as much sugar as a can of soda. Water and milk are still the best choice.

Parents might have to give their children a bib apron to protect their school issued uniform polo shirt once they start devouring more healthful lunches. Or they may have to wear a housekeeper uniform to keep up with the laundry and dirty clothing after the children enjoy a school lunch that tastes good and is good for them.

Tips on How to Choose a Low-Fat, Low-Calorie Pizza

Pizza is a main staple in the United States. People eat pizza for lunch, dinner, and sometimes, for breakfast too. It is a common sight in households across the nation. But how do you still eat your favorite dish while watching your waistline? What about all the diets myths forcing consumers to cross out pizza from their new meal plan list? Well, there is a way to eat pizza while on a diet and the answer is in the choices and topping options.

Pizza has a bad reputation of being high in fat and calories. However, if you make smarter decisions when ordering pizza, then you will be able to have your cake pizza and eat it too. One place to start is with the crust.

There is a universal theory regarding eating pizza while remaining on the right track to losing weight. The theory states the thinner the crust, the healthier the pizza. Well, this is not always true. A better choice would be to order a pizza crust made from whole-wheat flour instead of white. Furthermore, find out if butter or olive oil was used in the dough. For olive oil would be the smarter option. These may seem like insignificant modifications, but the dough is the foundation of a pizza. And if you don't change the dough choices, your waistline may increase rather than decrease.

The most prominent part of the pizza, after the dough, is the cheese. The quality of cheese makes a drastic difference when it comes to calorie and nutrients count. There are many different cheese options when it comes to selecting a pizza. And if you are not able to choose from a home-made mozzarella on a pizza versus store bought processed cheese, then the nutrients may be lacking. This is something you have to research. Ask the restaurant. Inquire if goat cheese is available instead of the norm. Moreover, the amount of cheese will make a significant difference too.

Another option to be aware of are the toppings. Choosing vegetables instead of meat will contribute to it being a healthier pizza option. Vegetable options range from roasted fennel, tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted pepper and more. You may be as generous as you like with vegetable toppings. Pile it on and you will maintain the right track with your weight loss plan. In addition, the flavors fresh vegetables add to a pizza enhance the taste. Consequently, the richer the taste the more satisfying the meal is allowing you to feel fuller longer. If you must do meat, then opt for grilled chicken as a topping. For the seafood lovers, why not try grilled shrimp? These decisions will help you in the end.

Pizza is a great, tasty, satisfying meal to have anytime of the day. And even if you are no longer a teenager, you are still able to eat it at anytime. Just make better choices and smarter decisions and you will not have to sacrifice pizza in exchange for your diet. Instead, pizza and diet will exist cohesively in your new healthier lifestyle.

Low cal nibbles are an enormous and if you're planning to lose pounds. A dietitian will recommendation you to have four or 5 tiny meals a day in the place of eating 2 or 3 heavy meals in a day.

Your fave fat-free break might be simply obtainable from your nearest food store. You can also learn how to make your favorite break in your kitchen only. You will utilize only little quantity to go easy on fat. You may feel full even without eating over 2 hundred to three hundred calories. The Casserole, we all know them, we all enjoy them, what better way to use up some of your leftovers perhaps or save money along with eating healthier since you decided and control which ingredients you want in your casserole. Making them is simple, dinner, lunch, or even for a movie snack. Learning how to prepare them can be great fun and add to your kitchen skills as well. Here is a family favorite to make yourself:

Tuna Casserole
For over fifty (50) years this has been a favorite in our family.

2 cups macaroni (elbow), al dente, firm
1 cup Velveeta Cheese, cubed (substitute for any cheese that you can cube and melts easy)
2 cans (Large) tuna, drain
1 15 ounce can peas, drain
1 15 ounce can diced tomatoes (plain), including juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cornflake crumbs for topping sprinkles
While your macaroni cooks, in a large mixing bowl gently fold following ingredients together: tuna, tomatoes, salt, peas, milk, and eggs. (Note: you might wish to breakup instead of mashing the tuna). Next the cheese should be folded into the mixture.
Drain your pasta and mix into the mix you just made above. Now put it in a 2-1/2 to 3 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with the cornflakes over the top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Yield 6-8 portions.
